Mark Gutknecht, Web Applications Coordinator

Ask Mark Gutknecht about his favorite feature in CMS4Schools and he is quick to point to the Calendar of Events. He says the flexibility and power of the calendar and calendar search function set the calendar apart, making it extremely useful for schools.

A native of Beaver Dam, Wis., Mark has worked in the Internet industry for more than 12 years, including nine in Web site development and project management. Before coming to CMS4Schools, Gutknecht worked as a project manager on the Harley-Davidson brand of Web sites. Mark earned his Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Administration from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Mike Vander Berg, Director of Software Development

Mike Vander Berg spent seven years working in schools, first as a mathematics/technology instructor and then as a Technology Director. His first-hand educational experience gave him insight into schools’ communications and technology needs. That insight drove the development of CMS4Schools.

Today, he points to the Faculty Pages tool as his favorite CMS4Schools feature, because it empowers all teachers to put together comprehensive Web sites with only minimal training. So, instead of spending hours learning a Web tool, teachers can teach!

Mike earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education at Dordt College and his Masters Degree at St. Cloud State University.
