CMS4Schools Helps Tight-Knit Community Stay in Touch
As a residential school for 120 deaf students in the State of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin School for the Deaf is a very tight-knit community.
“Alumni are very involved,” said Val Timler, IS comprehensive support technician. “The Web site is a key factor in keeping them informed on sports team statistics and upcoming events like the holiday program and school play.”
The need to remain in touch with alumni and other friends of the school was one important factor Timler considered when selecting CMS4Schools.
“I knew our Web site desperately needed to be revamped,” Timler said. “With all of the features we would want to use already built, it seemed silly to try to reinvent the wheel.”
Of all CMS4Schools features, Timler said the calendar, I-Form (online forms tool), navigation builder and analytics tools have drawn the most excitement.
“The software is very intuitive. It’s very detailed, but very intuitive,” Timler said. CMS4Schools has been a very good company to work with. “They are very user-friendly, very accommodating. They bend over backward to be helpful.”
That’s support that Timler hopes will bring the tight-knit deaf community even closer together.
